McAfee virus scan 2005 ver.9.0
dvd burner
built in november 2005
i think the ram is 512 or higher . i duno what the system memory hting is . its just what the bios said maybe thats the ram

okay so i get the boot up screen and can get into bios bla bla bla finds hd and such . then i get htis wonderfull message reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key . the lap top was working fine then it went ot sleep and this came up ive restarted a few times . and it still comes up . i have the windows disk and seanix's disc with some drivers and the manual . i run it on a wirless connection . just before it went to sleep around 80 mb or so was transfered on a usb flash drive 1 gb drive . mostly word documents and a few pictueres . extremely unreplacible data was transfered and the old copys were deleted (this is my step moms lap top ) she was just baout to make copys on disks (what luck) anyway any idea how this happened and how to fix it . the files were taken off a old amd k6 with 98 . i dont think it had any viruses on it but im not positive . it ran and still runs so im not sure that was the problem . anyway please some one help me fix this . this computer never messes up it doesnt download music or go one any contiversial sights . and its scaned for viruses alot . i removed the usb flash drive also . it was removed before it went to sleep and it wasnt started with the drive in it . please some one help me out here , id hate to take it to get fixed . im not totally retarded when it comes to computers so maybe with some guidance i can salvage it . go easy thow only 16

The hard drive has died. Time for warranty service.

oh no . is there any chance of getting hte information of . it was ireplasable . i have a univerity professor to do it . but he wont be workign for another week . or would seanix do it under the warantee. im just curious if it is posible to get the old stuff off . dont wana repair it . just take off the files . thanks for the reply
