A friend has a realatively (relative to my laptop at least) new Sony Vaio Laptop PCG-V505DX Laptop. It has a DVD CD\RW that will only read some original cd's. No copies at all. When it was under warranty she took it in and had it looked at. They have fixed it 3 times but it doesn't last. I have tried to look at it but can't seem to find anything wrong. Anybody have any ideas I can try? I have any older Thinkpad T30 and it will read just about every dvd/cd I put in it and it cost about a 3rd of what she paid. Thanks for any help.....
