I will always suggest the Logitech MX510 or MX518. If you want wireless, Logitech is top notch for those also.

The only way to determine comfort is go to the store and handle the mice.

Logitech MX510 was most comfortable in my hand and provided the best value. the MX518 seems over kill with the weights and all.. its really not needed.
-Tried to razor copperback and it felt a little small in my hand, and it hung low... but I guess some people like it.

Glc is right, go to the store and feel which one you like the best.. mouses are really all the same 800dpi should be just fine for gaming.

I like a large mouse... not sure how it compairs to others but the MX1000 is my choice.

I currently use the Razor Copperhead, a recent change from using the MX1000 Logitech Wireless. I got tired of the Occassionally spotty performance on wireless (and watching the charge meter in long sessions). The switch felt a little odd at first, but now the low profile feels quite good.

800 dpi is fine, but 2000 dpi is better :)

And, the performance mice come with better tuning software so you can fine tune responsiveness, etc.

I use the MX510 for gaming. I have a Logitech MX1000, but I don't like wireless for gaming. No matter how good the mouse gets, there's still going to be random lag because of the current wireless technologies.

I too have the mx510...its a great mouse compared to anything i've used before. Its good for gaming, and makes browsing the web and stuff a lot easiers with forward/back buttons right on the mouse.

I got my son the Logitech G5 Laser for christmas for CS2 and he loves it. Its sensitive but can be adjusted for regular use and gaming. He also has the Icemat and they work great together for games.
