My Chassis fan's are running lower then what they are supposed to. The throttal control dose not turn them up to what the fans can do.
MB asus A8n-SLI Deluxe:)
AMD 3000 Venice:rolleyes:
Case Thermaltake sviking VA4000BWS
Fans in case, 2 120mm Model 1225A:mad:
EVGA 7800 GT:D
These fans came with the case and run according to the website run at 1300-2800 RPM.
My computer is registering max speed at 1100 RPM. Throttal Control turned all the way up, if I turn it down all the way the fans will stop spinning. Temp in case varies between 92 degrees F to 102
degrees F.
I understand it may have to get hotter, but I would like the fans to cool the case to a lower temperature by spinning at a faster RPM then what it is right now. How can I adjust the RPM's on the fan's. Wiring is correct on motherboard. Contacted Asus for help and tech stated, that the fan's may not be compatable with my motherboard.
What temperatures should the computer be running between for CPU, MB and Chasis ?
My all run between 92 degrees F to 102 degrees F
So far no luck with Tech support personal.

Well, running between 33c and 39c is perfectly fine...there really isn't any need to make your fans run any faster then they already are.

Hook the case fans directly up to the power supply if you really want them to run at full speed.

As Blue said, you can buy adapters to convert your 3-pin fans to plug into the power supply; but I would leave the system alone - those temps are perfectly fine.
If it gets too hot in the case, the motherboard will speed up the fans automatically.

If I disconnect the plugs from the mother board and connect them straight to power supply won't i loose my readings ? I'll no longer know at what speed the fans are turning. I be able to tell it's working by it getting cooler.
Question wouldn't keeping the temperatures cooler, than in the 90's extend the life of my electronics considerably ?
Or should I just **** in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills first ?

If you plug the fans directly into the power supply, they will always run - and at full speed. Ther trade off there is that they aren't monitored.

Based on the answers I'm getting, the temperatures are good. No problem there thank you for easing my mind.
Food for thought though, there is no way to manuelly controll the speed of your fans unless you purchace one of those fan controllers that go into the front. But that might not work for me either since I already have two fan controll knobs that came with the case. What about software to control the fan speed ? I have software that moniters speed just can't adjust.

You motherboard should have come with a fan monitoring software called Asus Probe - it can be found on the drivers disk that came with the board. In there, you can set your own thresholds for fan speeds. I dont think you can actually tell the fan to spin at XXX RPMs, but you can tell it not to go below a specified speed.

I use this to moniter my Temps, RPM's, and Volts now and for when I start OC'ing. All this does is tell you when you exceed the threshold. It dosen't adjust actual fan speeds or any any other settings. Only ASUS NOS OC software dose that for specified settings or manuel adjustments in the BOIS. When it goes below a certian point it just alarms you to it.
Bob, please watch the language - we don't allow vulgarities in these forums, censored by **** or not. Thank you.

I'm very annoyed at ANTEC True Power 2.0 It clear states on the conector FAN ONLY. Well I started playing with your suggestions about the jumper and had no luck so I reconnected everything. Then I though I'm going to disconnect the one STATED FAN ONLY and reconnect the fan's power to a regular connection.
Well, it worked, fan speeds are where they are supposed to be. Don't know why antec would provide two connectors that are for FAN ONLY if they don't provide the fan's with enough power.
Thank you for your help everyone.
