verifying dmi data pool error

Trying to build system for my wife AMd sempron 3100/ ECS Nforce3-a motherboard. Ok here's my problem formatted hard drive and went to do clean install of XP PRO get thru begining set up when computer reboots to due finish set i get at end of bios verifying dmi data pool ....... error loading operating system . tried to install on same hard drive but other system no problem booted to windows setup to complete install hooked hard drive back to new system get error loading operating system. Could anyone give me some HELP i'm getting balder by the minute pulling hair out. P.s this is my second system so i'm not newbie and hardrive had old install of XP home and it booted up fine,hard drive came from hp system. hope someone can help thanks John

Did you wipe out the partitions and repartition the drive? Could be that old hidden HP restore partition still there and causing problems in your new build.

Yep removed partition and but new even tried a different hard drive gave me same problem. HELP i'm drowning in the pool of hair !!!!!

OK, that helps to know you tried different HD, so that pretty much narrows it to BIOS problem. Could be a setting or it could be defective.
