AVG not free anymore?

I was looking to download the free version of AVG for a friend's laptop and when I browsed around www.grisoft.com, it seemed to me that there is no free version anymore. Is this true or am I just missing it? If it really isnt free anymore what's another good (and free) antivirus package I can install for my friend?
