View Full Version : What outbound programs should be blocked?

As I configure my firewall, I'm needing to know what outbound programs actually should be allowed to connect with the internet.
For instance, should ccEvtMgr.exe be allowed to connect?
I'll be posting more in the next day or two as I see them come up...

ccEvtMgr is part of the Norton suite, it's okay to let it access the net.

If a program attempts to access the internet and you are unsure what to do go to google and tyoe the exact name of the program. It will show you several linsk that will help you identify the file adn determine if it is safe to allow it access to the net.
