I recently bought an Abit NV8 Motherboard and all it has is a serial port and the parallel port, no video. I just finished building my PC and put the video card in the PCI-E slot, but when I did my initial startup, my screen would stay in sleep mode and not recognize any video. Im assuming this is because there is no integrated video and no drivers for my already installed video card, so my question is, what do I do to get my computer running?

A computer will boot without video drivers. It just won't be as clear and perfict as it would be with them. It sounds like something isn't seated right. Either your RAM isn't in all the way, or the video card isn't. Those are usual the suspects when you don't get video or a POST beep on first start-up.

The slot on the motheboard, or the memory stick itself? Either way, you should start the RMA process right away.
