I recently was using a bot for a game, and it's been scanned by me and many other peoples for a bunch of different scanners. We didn't find anything.

So my power runs out, I boot back up and I get an error that has something to do with a file named system.vbc in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

The file contains this:

Set Fuke = CreateObject("ComDll.1")
Fuke.RuunResource(0)

I can't run any programs(except for Firefox because there's a button in the start menu that says Internet and it launches Firefox). But if I go to my Quick Launch buttons and right click and select "Run As..." it will load some programs.

I've looked around on google and it says it's a trojan/worm/virus. I know *how* to remove it, but I can't because I can't launch anything(or go into the My Computer properties which is waht I'm trying to do).

I need this fixed fast! All help appreciated!

If FireFox will load I assume you can access the internet. Go to www.trendmicro.com web site and use there on-line virusc scanner.

Thanks. That god rid of some stuff. It said it couldn't remove 1-2 things. I can open files now, but it asks me what I want to open it with. For instance, I open Firefox and it says I need to choose something to open it with. So I pick Firefox, and it loads up and asks me to download Firefox.exe. Kind of weird.

Also, I try to run "msconfig" and it asks me what to open it with. What do I open it with and how do I solve the problem? I can't check the box "Always open with this bla bla".

Sounds like you still have bugs.

Try going to www.ewido.com and running their online scanner.

No it's all good now. I ran a system restore in safe mode to go back to the settings @ 8AM yesterday morning. Thanks though.
