I am using office 2003 with word. I also have endnote9.0.
The problem is that whenever I place a hyperlink from website or endnote, it should come out a blue text with underline, but then it comes out like this picture. I am not sure why. In endonte it gets worse, I actually have to remove all the field codes to make it look normal. I have been using endnote for a very long time, so it is not the cause of the problem. I tried AVG, nothing. I tried housecall, says some word perfect virus thing. rescan nothing came out. 3rd scan using housecall, it says cannot bind to native API or something like that. And while I'm typing this, the word cursor does not move with the word. Eg: If I type Hello, it can be elloH. But this does not happen all the time. What is wrong with my pc?

I hope you can give us more to go on then just "...some word perfect virus thing." or cannot bind to "native API", which last makes it sound your scan is now being blocked.
Have you run any other on line scans like ewido or pest patrol?

You've got the "display field codes" option turned on. I'm not sure where it is in Office 2003, but in Office 2000 go to Tools...Options...View tab, and make sure that "Field Codes" is NOT checked. Hopefully, this option will be somewhere similar in Office 2003.

Thanks, it works. I am not sure how that was checked. I rarely mess up the default options.
