AMD 939 CPUs

I'm looking to upgrade my system from an athlon 3000+ barton to something in the 939 socket line, but I'm not sure what would offer the best bang for the buck. I'm looking for something below or around $200. It'll be used for gaming, photoshop, and video editing. What would you suggest? Thanks :)

Alright, I looked at that and a few other options on newegg.

Now, there's one thing I found odd...why is the FX-57 about $600 more than the 3700+ ? It looks to me that the only difference is an increased clock speed. Or is there something else I'm missing?

Also, what makes the San Diego core better than the other ones that are available. Larger L2 cache?

It's clocked higher as well as having an unlocked multiplier, which allows more overclocking options.

There is really no comparision between the FX57 and the 3700, forget the specs. The FX series processors are probably the fastest thing you can put into a gaming computer, period.
There was a similar question on another thread and I cant find it about the FX60 and the 4800 dual core, again there is no comparison.
Kinda like comparing the Porsche Cayanne to the 911 Turbo, they both have similar mechanical specs but the 911 is much faster.
The 3700, dollar for dollar is the best out there right now and will amaze you compared to your old 3000 athlon
