I’m ready for my second build. I will probably match my first build (Sonota II, A8N5X, AMD 3700+ SD, CORSAIR 2x512, Seagate 250G) but will change the video card since NewEgg no longer sells the EVGA 6800 GS CO SE – looking at the EVGA 7600 GT.

But what’s up with the prices??? The AMD 3700+ is now selling for $235. I bought it for $213 on 3/28. Pretty sure that was not a sales price. RAM is up too. What gives???

Ram price usually not stable because of the silicon price :o

That, and regular DDR prices are steadily rising. It's being phased out by DDR2

Perhaps limited supply of the 3700+? Everyone wants one of those - they give you the best performance for the price.

Part of it is probably related to the high gas prices driving up transportation costs.

Newegg fluctuates their prices. I would suspect it has to do with supply/demand more than anything.
