Hi all,

I wasnt sure where to post this one as realy it covers Mobo,Vid & Gaming so please mods move to where you think is best.

I have Intergrated Graphics:mad: 64Mb Via unichrome on my motherboard.
I just wanted to know that would playing games that need more graphics burn my intergrated graphics chip out on my mobo?

I just downloaded a Demo of Need for speed underground (The 1st one)

Well the Minimum specs for the Grapgics card for the game is-
32Mb DirectX compatiable video card.

The performance of the demo was horrific:eek:

I could not read the text and i couldnt even see the road as it was just a mixture of colours:D

Yes i know i need a new graphics card but just wanted to know if playing alot of games would shortly burn the chip out as i do play games like Castle wolfestien-Enemy terretory for about 2 hours every night.

Thanks

No, playing a few games that require better graphical solutions will not "burn" out your intergrated graphics. The intergrated graphics will perform at the level it is able to, and the game will look bad, but your intergrated chip will definitely NOT burn out.

If the requirements are 32MB, and you have 64MB.. possibly you may try lowering all the settings and seeing if there is an improvement but don't expect much... but there should be.
