Hi guys,
I currently now have 5.1 surround sound using Creative Inspire 5.1 5200 Speakers. I used to use Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers.. I am using a
Chaintech 7.1 Sound Card

My Question: How can I enable 7.2 Sound? I have all speakers... all subwoofers.. everything connected.. everything plugged in.. How does it work!? And, why the hell will only my front speakers work and not my rear and back surround?
Thanks guys!

Go into: Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/Advanced tab in the speaker section/select your speaker set-up

I already set it up as 7.1 speakers... I also set it up in the driver program called "Audio Deck" Is there any other possible way?
I figured one part out.. I plug front speakers into the front ports into the subwoofer.. They dont work when i play music thouhg. But then again, in the software it shows that my front speakers are really my rear speakers..
My Center speaker and subwoofer works.. How do I get all speakers working ??
EDIT: WOW! I got my 5.2 surround sound working but now the two front creative speakers arent working.. How do i get these up? Do i need to give u guys more info???

Looks like since you have 5.1 speaker setup, you would need to set the sound card for the same.

Hi,
I checked if im using 5.1... im NOT. im using 7.1 wide configuration.. THis is how it works. I have my rear speakers put into the rear ports of my sound card. They work. I got the Center\LFE\Subwoofer into its port it works. But then i have the front speakers into the front ports and they dont work. Why??? And if i plug my Altec Lansings in tothe front ports, they still dont work! Plugged my rear speaker into the front ports of my sound card and they dont work either... How do i set this system up? Can anyone give me a guide??
