I think it was you or some one else who was not recommending me to install win98 in D: If I want to install winxp as well.
but I have just installed win98 in D: and WinXP in C : and I didnot face any problem during installation ,neither after installation. Can you please explain why it is not recommended to install win98 in D: ?

You should be okay as long as you installed 98 *first*.
