I have two hard disks:

• 40 GB Seagate Barracuda ATA 100, 7200 RPM
• 160 GB Seagate Barracuda ATA 100, 7200 RPM

Can I Set Up Raid 0? Or do they have to be identical? What Software Should I Use?

Need to be identical.

With those drives you'll end up with a total of 80gigs. Which means you loose 120gigs worth of space...

Yes,
BUT
the combined size will be 80 gig

And use of drives that are not *identical* in RAID 0 increases the risk of instability - and RAID 0 is not that stable to begin with.
