Hi all,

I have a very simple question to ask (I'm having a bit of a brain fart atm).
What's the process of saving a downloadable program to a disk? For example, I use zone alarm and I wish to have it on a disk so I can install it from there instead of having to go to the site itself to download it.

I have done it in the past, but it's been so long now I absolutely cannot remember.

*Hope I got this in the right forum*

What I have done with ZonaAlarm is just drag and drop the download file into my burner program. Today I use a thumb drive instead of a CD so I can have the latest version without having a bunch of outdated CDs.

If you don't have packet writing software installed for your optical burner (such as DirectCD or InCD), you need to use your burner software. Or you can use a USB drive like flanzig suggests.

XP has the rudimentary burning engine - right click on the file, send it to the burner.

As soon as I read your reply, it came back to me. I use the drag 'n drop to Nero. It's been working fine:)

Thank you all for the advice.
