[Ghost(BOO!)]

I'm having problems with my messenger not being able to open to anything that requires going through the yahoo. For example if I click on view profile or messenger help nothing happens but if I select an option that doesn't go through the site, it works. This problem started after I tried zone alarm and then uninstalled it. I tried everything I could like making sure the messenger is allowed in windows firewall, disabled my ad block plus and allowed pop ups (cookies were always allowed) but none of that worked. Anybody have an idea? I have also uninstalled the messenger and re-installed it but to no avail.

I think IMsecure did something you weren't aware of, like encrypt your log-in which you didn't undo before you uninstalled ZA, and they can figure it out.

Try un-installing Zonealarm first and see if the problem persists. If not, download ZA again and check your configuration on install.

Thats a zone alarm problem, ZA is a very strong firewall and popup blocker, It will blockout (accidentally) outgoing applications, u have to specify in the program settings which programs u want to give full access to and which ones u dont. Try and reinstall of the program AFTER u do a complete uninstall and system restart of the program. also use a reg cleaner program to clean out any remaning entries in the registry. after all thats done, then go into the program settings and specify.
