well i just got finished putting everything together, when i jus have the monitor plugged in it shows that tri color msg monitor is working correctly ect. then i turn the computer on, it goes to a black screen for 2 seconds maybe then right back to the inital tri color screen, i dont exactly kno where the front usb cords go either http://www.fic.cz/product_doc-6C3B8D90011AE16FC1256F160029ACA4.html

Try this first (http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?t=12753) and let us know what happens.

Did you plug in all necessary power connectors on the motherboard?

The system didn't POST with the motherboard out of the case? You have a defective part.

Are you getting any beeps at all?

Are you using the RaidMax power supply that came in the case? Those are cheap, low quality units and you may have a defective one in that case. Do you have another compatible power supply you can swap in to test with?

Do you have any compatible spare parts you can swap in to test with?

nah i got a diff psu vigor 500, tried it with each ram didnt work, might it be the mobo itself?, i also only have inegrated graphics

might it be the mobo itself?,Yes, it's possible...FIC isn't a well regarded brand...low quality, reliability issues, etc...

What happens if you try to power up the motherboard with just the CPU and heatsink installed...no RAM. You should get BIOS beeps saying there is something wrong with the RAM. If you don't get any beeps, the motherboard may be DOA.

yea nothin happened again...the thing is that this mobo was in an old comp i used, took it out a few months ago, anyway i could test all the stuff w/o mobo? could u msg me on msn or aim plz

should nething happen if i take out the cpu also? cause that is also used but it does get hot when i have it on

lol ok, so could it be the cpu?? there is also thermal greese in the lil hole on the cpu itself, might this be a problem??
