WHAT HAPPENS IF I LEAVE Java.ByteVerify ON MY COMPUTER?

It can do a range of things, all bad. It can hijack your browser, open backdoors into your system, trigger other malicious downloads, etc. Get rid of it and make sure you have the your windows updates up to date. Also you might have other baddies in your system too. Run full scans with your antivirus aand antispyware applications. and make sure that you have at least the windows firewall and an active virus scanner running at all times that you are online.

All you have to do is go to the java console and clear the cache. If the problem remains, turn off system restore and run all updated anti-malware programs from safe mode. This should clear any traces of javabyteverify.

If all is clean, turn system restore back on.
