Ok well I've decided to upgrade my computer even though it is relativley new because i can use the replaced parts to upgrade another computer of mine (im not just trying to waste as much money as i can). So my current build is:

AMD 3700+
7800GTX
2 GB Corsair ram
74gb Raptor
Sound Blaster sound card
the rest is basic stuff

And what I want to upgrade it to is:

FX-62 (Which means new AM2 Mobo, suggestions?)
7950GX2
New PSU (for the new card, etc. also Sli ready..suggestions?)
add another 74gb raptor (to use in RAID)
2 GB Corsair XMS 240 pin DDR2 800 yada yada
same sound card..

I've probably forgotten stuff to mention because I'm typing this rather late at night and I'm not entirely "here" right now..
So, do any of you guys have any suggestions for a new Mobo (I've looked at a few but just need some reassurance) as well as a new PSU? Also any problems that you've noticed? comments? suggestions? criticism? ..you know, the works.

Motherboard: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131013) PSU: Not many choices there, must be from the Dual GeForce 7900 GTX section of the list (http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone2_build.html#certified_powersupplies)at slizone. The only DDR2 800 1Gb ram module on the ASUS QVL for that board is the Kingston KVR800D2N5/1G (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820134114)

I'd keep your current set up...there is NO performance increase at this time upgrading to AM2....None...even at 600fsb compared to the 400fsb of the A64 and with the memory controller problems of the AM2 it's just not worth it...

the AM2 is Not getting the full potential out of the ddr800 as it should...if you were to up grade..you wouldnt be any happier than you are now...other than the placebo effect...
