I just recently installed a new motherboard, processor and ram. After the installation, I booted the computer up and was greeted by a blue screen that stated "STOP 0x0000007" or something along those lines. I'm currently running windows XP.

I'm at a complete loss as to what to do considering this is the first time I have attempted to install a motherboard and processor, so I'm kind of freaking out a bit about the whole problem.

Any advice that can be given would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT

I should mention that the mobo. that I installed is a MSI K8T NEO2-F VER2.0 and the processor is an AMD Athlon 64 3200+. Also my last processor was a 1.5 G P4, as for my previous mobo. All I know is that it was an older model MSI

Your going to want to boot from your WindowsXP cdrom and go in just like you are going to do a complete installation of windows. Finally at one point though when the installation program scans your harddrive it will detect the previous installation of windows and then prompt you as to wether you want to do a complete install or repair the existing installation of windows. Choose to repair the existing windows install and it will fix everything for U and you will not loose any programs or data. You do not want the repair console that is a choice right at the begining of winX boot cdrom , you should choose to install windows.

Thanks for the advice, I'll put it to work asap.

Oh, I don't know if this is important but i forgot to mention that the led on the front of the computer is red and the led that indicates the hard drive is running does not flash.

You probably just have te HD LED connector backwards, and which other one are you talking about that is red?

Its the one that is located below the HD LED (not much help, I know) I assumed untill recently that it was a simple "On" indicator but now that it changed colour, I am rather unsure.
