I need help regarding my Ad-Aware. Now, I am unable to update new definitions. It says " Your definitions are 46 days old. Would you like to check for updates now?" And I click OK. Then, it says " You are using Ad-Aware SE : build 1501. A newer version of Ad-Aware is available for download (1.06)........" When I click OK, it says " No Components Available"...
Previously, I was able to update each time they prompt me but now I can't..Do I need to reinstall everything again????

Uninstall your current version of Adaware, run a reg cleaner and check the Programs file as well, and then download and install the new version.
Update that once it's installed and you'll be good to go.

Hi Pam,
Thanks for the reply....Which is the best registry cleaner that I can download from? I am still quite new to this so I would appreciate it if you could list me some of the free registry cleaners.

I use a great little program named RegCleaner 4.3.0.780. It;s free and I have found it to be very useful when I was having difficulty getting rid of footprints left behind bu Norton and McAfee. It's only 514 Kb.
You can download it here:

Regcleaner is an excellent program
There's also this one : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
You can install Ad-Aware SE 1.06 right over the top of 1.05 - it will take care of the uninstall all by itself. You can't get 1.06 through automatic updates, you have to download it yourself.
