Nod32 (evaluation) update problem

I've installed nod32 and when i try to update it tells me that it is up to date but when i check eset's website i see that there is a more current database and that my av is not up to date.

anyone else experience this or know how to fix it?

maybe what you're seeing on the website is for a different version, or diff piece of software all-together? If it says it's up to date then I would trust it, as long as in the next few days it automatically updates again.

If it doesn't update itself in a week or so then it may be time to get worried.

In the update section there should be a number that corresponds to the date of the last update (I think it goes YYYYMMDD but im not sure). With NOD32 the biggest length of time I have seen between updates is 2 days (and that was rare).

What do you see when you click on the NOD32 Control Center? :confused:

Here is what I get.

I click on `update" in the NOD32 2.5 Control Center

To get the NOD32 `Update' screen

In that `Screen' it displays `Status'

`Server" should read `Choose Automatically'
`Virus signature database update' should read `automatic'
`Program component update' should read `offer'
`Last update' should read `7/27/2006 12:21:41 PM'
`Version of virus signature database' should read `1.1681 (20060727)

finally, tonight it updated (automatically).
i don't know what the problem was but it seems to be up to date now.

ESET is usually very good with updating definitions for NOD32. I wouldn't worry about it unless the software has not updated for a very prolonged period of time. By default, NOD32 full version checks for updates each hour.

So when you click on `setup' in the `update' panel does it read, under the `automatic update', that

`Automatic update is scheduled' ?

My NOD32 was just updated at 10:02 cst.
