Hi, I have just acquired a Proview lcd screen. On connecting to my tower I get nothing on the screen at all, stone dead. Ideas please.

Do you get a display using a different, known working screen?

If you were using a CRT previously and had it set to a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, you may have to reconnect the crt and lower the refresh rate. Some lcd monitors will not work at all with a high refresh rate. Oh, and make sure the power cord is plugged in too, not just the video cable. I only say that cuz I had a call the other day from someone that had forgotten that little step.

Also, if the monitor has dual inputs(DVI & VGA), make sure that you select the correct connection type from the computer. There should be a selection option in the monitor menu.

Monitors do not need drivers.

FK yes I had a LG crt screen working fine.
