Audigy 2 zs is a good choice, nice upgrade over onboard. If you have the few extra bucks, x-fi will blow the doors off of it.

I assume you have onboard now?

Yes, the X-Fi is a great choice - especially for BF2 - you can crank up extra settings. Keep in mind, it would all go to waste unless you have a good set of speakers/headphones.

umm, the newegg audigy 2 zs is expensive.

Buy from buy.com, it has the platinum audigy 2 zs retail for only 69.99 i think.

Only problem is there's a $100 MIR. You'd have to pay a bucketload more now and then go through the rebate process. Besides, Newegg has it too with a $100 MIR and it's only a couple bucks more

I had an Audigy 2 zs for awhile with my nf7s board, and preferred the onboard audio. Now with my an8 abit, the audiomax onboard just doesnt do it for me. I have an Auzentech Xmystique (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829127001) now, and I love it. It has everything to do with Dolby Digital Live. It makes all of your games and music, and everything that you do play in surround sound. The Auzentech is a great card, and I wouldn't hesitate to compare it to the Audigys.
