Any new video cards coming out?

Is nvidia or ATI planning on releasing a new series of cards any time soon? They tend to have little upgrades like ATI's XT series, but I mean a completely new series like a 7800 vs 7900. I have about a month before I order my new build, and I'm just curious if its worth waiting a bit longer for a new video card.

Well I beleive there are DirectX 10 cards coming out in the next month or so (maybe around September time - although someone may correct me on this), however not many games developers will utilise this straight away so it might worth picking up one of the 7 series and hang slack (or if your running SLi pick the 2nd card up cheaply when the prices drop). I personally would stick to the 7900 series at the moment until its necessary it upgrade to the new cards.

However that is only my opinion what u do in your upgrade is entirely up to you ;)

Not sure about ATi as i'm an NVidia man
