trojan horse

hi all, my pc has been playing up a bit,so i ran avg test and found "trojan horse generic.XMS"
am i in big poopy will it do any damage, thanks

I have used the romoval tools found on symantec's website when the need has arisen for me to remove a virus on a system.

Was AVG able to heal, delete or vault it?
