Can i burn a movie of 680 mb on 3.4 gb data dvd?
CPU: Intel® Celeron® Processor 1.70GHz (w/128KB L2 cache & 400MHz FSB)
Memory: 128MB DDR (PC2100)
Hard Drive: 40GB HDD
Because i have the movie on my computer no problem, and i can vu it with the media player fine.It starts buning it and i see the images on the dvd buner small screen for a bit then it stops and it gives me a message about my memory not enough.
can some one clear this for me or i need more memory and if i do need more memory, is another 128 mb is good?
Thank you

I'm not too familiar with CD and DVD burning, but more RAM would help. Windows XP uses much of the 128 MB already :)

However, if possible, can you lower the burn rate to perhaps 1x or 2x? That may work and may eliminate the "lack of memory" error.

However, a better solution would be more RAM.

How much free space is on the hard drive? When was the last time you cleaned out temp files and defragged it?

Win XP has a *minimum* 256MB RAM requirement and 512 is recommended. You don't say what OS you have though...I think 2000 requires 128 and 256 is recommended. More RAM definitely won't hurt. I think lowering the speed as Kareeser said would help - since it wouldn't have to process as much data as quickly.
