Hi guys I'm new to these forums, but definetly not new to problems ... heh

Well I built a system for a friend and everything seemed to go in fine and all, but when I set it up to boot I got some wierd things goin on. Well the monitor doesn't really start up all the time. I know it works, because it comes up with the "Self Test" when I turn it on. My specs are as follows :

Maxtor 80GB EIDE HD 7200/8MB/ATA-133
MSI PM8M3-V Socket 775 Motherboard
Ultra 512MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz CL3
Ultra Skt 775 Cooling Fan upto P4 3.8GHz
Raidmax XB Black Mid Tower Case With 380W
Intel Celeron 351 3.20Ghz 533FSB Socket 775

The MoBo has an onboard video/sound card, I didn't realize it so we had bought

BFG GeForce 5500 256MB PCI w/TV-OUT

but I did not install because it had the onboard.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

If you had read the sticky threads, you would have found this:

You might consider replacing the power supply with something quality. It's probably junk if it came bundled with a case, and could cause problems like these. BUT, try what glc posted - then start looking at the components.

I would go with another PSU. The PSUs that come with Raidmax cases are not reliable.

You might also consider getting a PSU with at least 450w of clean power. 380w on your current setup may be a little underpowered or wouldn't allow for much future upgrades.
