I was wondering if it was possible to make a wireless network password protected. I have the router hooked up to my PC and also have a MacBook. I would like to be able to share files between the computers and have it password protected. As of right now the wireless is working and the MacBook can connect to the internet but I can't share files and it isn't protected. My router is a D-Link WBR-1310

Do you want to password protect your connection to the wireless router, i.e. make it impossible for other people to connect wirelessly without a password, or do you want to share your files and password protect the files?

Yes, you can do this easily. All you have to do is enable WPA, or if your MacBook doesn't support WPA, then you can enable WEP. It involves going to the router's configuration page and enableing the appropriate wireless security.
