Hey, well...this is not a major porblem...but it would be nice if i could get it figured out.
Well, what happenes is when i boot up my computer it stops at this:
'Prcessor: AMD Atholon (tm) 64x2 Duel Core Processor 3800+ <CUPID: 00040FB2>'
and then it just stops booting and i have to press enter before it carrys on.
Does anyone know of how i can just get it to boot up normally ie. without me having to press enter all the time?
If so, your help is much appreciated
Thanks :)

What does the enter key do? Is there some sort of message on the screen asking for confirmation? more details please.

Sorry.
Well i just noticed that it doesnt HAVE to be the enter key. anykey makes it work again...and there is no confirmation on the screen. it just says what i said above...but..when i do press a key to make it keep booting it says "memory testing: then some numbers and "OK"

Please post the complete system specs for this computer. List all the parts by brand and model including the power supply.
Is this a brand new build or did you have this computer for awhile and the problem started recently?

Hey, the specs are:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64x2 Duel
Core Processor 3800+
2.01GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM
geforce 7300gt 256mb gfx card
Motherboard model: Gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2G
Duel Core
DDR2 ram
Yes this is a brand new computer, built it with a friend.
And i have had this same problem for awhile actually, in my old computer it did the same thing. I really am curious to know whats causing it and if i could fix it somehow. If you have ANY ideas...that would be greatful!
Thanks

You said DUEL 3 times in this thread. It's DUAL, not DUEL
DUEL: To engage (another) in or as if in formal combat.
DUAL: Composed of two usually like or complementary parts.

check in the BIOS for a fast boot option or some other type of confirmation of the boot process or testing of ram.
