Just a quick question: does anyone have any information about these boards? I know we have yet to see any 590 intel editions, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a release date, specifically for the DFI.

Im pretty sure theyre gonna delay the intel 590, as overclockability leaves alot to be desired with that chipset. I dunno maybe in they just might release one.
But I do know that they are going to be announcing their new lanparty board, Not with the nvidia chipset, but with ati's RD600. The most anticipated chipset right now. Is supposed to be a godly overclocker.

That's funny. I thought I remembered reading something about a DFI with nVidia's 590 Intel Edition, but I think that was a while ago. What about this RD600 chipset board? Any ideas about when that's coming?

DFI should be announcing it very soon. Shoot hit stores late september. 590SLI will hit a bit before. But I would choose the rd600 over the 590sli.. Im guessing 2 weeks diff between the two releases?? Too early to say.

Here is a thread I have been a part of in the watching of Asus' nForce 590 intel solution. Link (http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=1217710#1217710)
That is the board I am waiting for, here is a link to nVidia's chipset release blueprint/planned release. Link (http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1902&p_created=1153418553&p_sid=aA7gbRfi&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MSZwX3Byb2RzPTAmcF9jYXRzPTAmcF9wdj0mcF9 jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9mbmwmcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD1jb25yb2U)
If I am correct, that should answer the part of your question relating to intel designed chipsets.

Thanks for the chart, corksil. The earlier release of the Asus board might be the deciding factor for me. I'm not entirely sure that I'll be able to wait until October to build.
