Ok--has anyone here had experience configuring VPN's with Netgear's ...um...stuff?
I have (on an office LAN) a Netgear FVS318v3. I have their client software on the home machine.
Office is DSL with a static IP, and the modem is bridged, which made the router the DHCP server, with it's own address of 192.168.0.1.
Home is cable internet with a static IP and a wireless switch.
Everything there is connected, and I've tried, over the last month, EVERY possible combination of settings between the home and office machine and I CANNOT get the &*#^!!?! things to connect!! I've tried Netgear's online "support", which had a lot of information for lots of things besides the router I have. Their tech forum has disappeared, their documentation sucks, and I really would not like to PAY for support for a product they said was easy to use.
Can anyone help me with this?
