wireless adapter icon says disable

Hi guys,

I just purchased a linksys wireless pci card with speedbooster, WMP54GS, I am using it with my linksys router with 4 ports switch (sorry but I don't remember the model number at the moment). Everything is working fine, I could go online wirelessly with no problem. The only problem I have with is that when I don't use the computer for a while, the wireless pci icon in my system tray says that it's disable, but I could still surf the net and everything. I just couldn't do anything in the menu, i.e. refresh, or edit profile, or anything, everything was grayed out.
I thought I saw some posts on here with similar problems, but I can't seems to find it. So, if you guys could point me to those posts, or have advice for me how to keep the pci wireless icon from being grayed out and says disable. I would really appreciate it. I hope I have explained everything as clear and as concise as possible. Thanks very much for your help.
P.S. I am using win2k on my computer, if that would help. thanks again.

Open the properties of the wireless adapter in device manager and make sure the box to turn it off to save power is NOT checked.
