Any EVE-online players out there?
I recently downloaded it out of curiosity. It reminded me of that old old Commodore 64 game (or was it the BBC Acorn Electron?) called 'Elite'. The download was only about 550mb and patching was quick - unlike EQ/SWG/WOW/AO/etc which take days.
On my laptop it runs fine too, which has a low gaming spec, and there seems to be no ingame lag, and the graphics etc are really nice. A nicely designed game and yes an advanced, very advanced, version of Elite (though I doubt many will remember that one).
Very impressed to see something like this come out, and get popular, I thought that with WOW, COH, EQ2, etc the mmorpg world was going in one direction and getting rather one-dimensional.
I'm probably getting too old for this stuff but a well designed game makes itself available to all ages.
