Hi,
I've just purchased my first iMac. Its a 2Ghz Intel Core Duo model. I've been with AOL's Platinum broadband service for a while now but I've just found out that they don't support the Mac OS. On the Apple website it says that the iMac will also run Windows.

Can I connect to my broadband this way or is there another ISP I can use for high speed broadband with the Mac OS?

Cheers

You can still use AOL if you get a router. Create a new screen name which will be dedicated to the router login. Connect the router to your broadband modem using the Ethernet interface. Connect your PC to the router, log into the router, set it for PPPoE, use your new screen name and password for the login. Set the MTU in the router to 1400. Then you can connect the iMac to the router and use DHCP to get an IP, and surf away. You will not be using the AOL software at ALL, use www.aol.com to get your mail.

I'm assuming its the same procedure with a wireless router?
Can I have the iMac and my other Windows PC on the same network?

The broadband modem I have at the minute doesn't have an ethernet interface. Is there a dedicated wireless router I can use or do I need to buy a broadband modem with an ethernet interface?
