No pictures on internet

I am running windows XP Home . When I connect to the internet all the spaces that used to have pictures are now blank boxes no matter what link I go to . MSN,Yahoo ,ETC. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it. Thanks

If you're using IE, click on Tools->Options->Advanced tab->make sure "show pictures" is enabled.
