I've recently bought a new webcam for my computer so i can communicate with my parents. (I'm using this on MSN Messanger Live) I plug my Webcam in (it has a USB connection and a MIC connection for the microphone). I run the sound test from within Windows XP only windows doesn't seem to pick up any audio.
I checked my microphone volume settings and moved the slider straight to the top, tried the test again but still doesn't detect any audio.
I'm using the onboard AudioPorts on a Gigabit Motherboard.... can't remember exactly what model it is but if you really need it i can find out.
Please can anybody offer any suggestions.
Ps. i've also bought another webcam (a cheap one) that just has a USB connection (no mic jack) and this also doesn't recognise any sound. I've checked the device manager to see if i had any conflicts or to see if anything wasn't there but everything is there and correct
