or is it you should remain young at heart, anyway i bought it and am having a blast. i rode motorcycles for a lot of years until i retired (in 1981) then didn't seem to have time HA, to make a long story short i found this at a bargan and decided to play again in my old age,(73)

it's a Suzuki VS800GL 800cc's isn't very big now but when i was riding it was one of the biggies, it will lift the front wheel if you are not careful and cruse at 70mph real easy, and i can lift it if it falls ,some of the big ones like the Honda Gold Wing are really heavy and i don't think as handy as this one, of course they are really nice with the cruse, stero etc.!!!

nice bike...

good to have you back riding. Be aware that the accident rates for older returning riders is significant. IMO this is caused by your brain remembering what your 20-30 or 40 year younger body could do. It takes a bit of time for your muscle memory to catch up with what you mind remembers.

if you haven't already, I would suggest a refresher training course like the MSF BRC.

you can find the nearest course here:

oh yeah, most folks can pick up a Gold Wing, I saw this demonstration at a bike rally and this woman, all of 5' or so and a 120 pounds got one back shiny side up in less than 30 seconds.

Old enough to know better and gonna do it anyway

i saw the demonstration with the little lady and the Gold Wing, my brother has one, tip one under other than ideal conditions (on a flat hard surface) and i doubt lifting 6 or 7 hundred pounds is quite so easy. and yes i realize i can't do what i could in my younger days but hey most young people now can't do what i did in my younger days HA i wanted to take a refresher course but they are pretty expensive and all i could find were 3 days fri ,sat, sunday and i attend church services on sunday so couldn't make them. i have been practicing in secluded places and things are coming around, i know i need to be more careful and i am. i appreciate your concern
and Pam that sounds good.
