does anyone know site that tells whos domain belongs to who

I was wondering if anyone know the site that tells who owns domain name with address and name, basic info about the owner of domain? i knew the site but forgot

There are private domain registrations where you can't see who actually owns the domain.

Indeed, I have one, it usually lists something else instead, like mine lists "Domains By Proxy" but I'd guess it could also list the ISP. It's becoming cheaper and cheaper to do just that so there's (I'd say) a 20% chance that it's a private url, but you never know until you look, I guess.
