Got a system with a Sav 2000 card in it cause I was curious as to how the card would perform.Card works great in 3dmode but in reg windows its messed up.Mouse leaves tracers behind blocks show up out of no where type is illegible in most places. With standard vga driver all looks good and if I go to 256 colors all is good but when I go 16 bit...disaster.Figure its the drivers and wondering if any
other drivers available for this card which wasnt labelled but I believe to be innovision because it came with the generic Savage drivers from S3.Anyone else heard of this going on.Running on a Asus A7A-266 mobo an 256 DDR Ram...

I just was messing around with one of those cards too, bought it strictly to play UT on (in case you didn't know it, that 2nd CD that comes with UT was written just for S3 MeTal, high-definition textures, it looks awesome!)--anyway, that card stunk so bad I sent it back the same day. Windows ME loaded very slowly, and UT refused to work at all, it would crash in the beginning movie. After an hour of installing different drivers and not getting anywhere, I packed it up and called Computer Geeks. Their tech support guy was really nice and said that that card is ONLY compatible with DirectX ver. 6.1 or lower. He also said the card had compatibility issues with VIA chipsets (which I find funny, becuase VIA bought out S3, lol!) I don't know if either is true or not, but he gave me a full refund (even shipping!) with no hassles!

Some updated drivers can be found at www.s3graphics.com Log in with user name and password "archive" (without the quotes, of course). I hope you have better luck getting it to work than I did. But, if you got it from Geeks, they will take it back!

PS, mine did say "INNO 3D" or something like that in that video BIOS screen that flashes by ever so quickly when you boot your PC.

Ya Im gonna start messing with the drivers and see what turns up.Ive got direct X 7 on the system and the game Ive tried so far is Q3 which seems to run great
under Win 2000 anyway, locks up in 98.I might trying to return the card if all else fails which will be a fight,it always is with the guy I buy my stuff from.
Thanx for the response Jenni.............
