Hi, I've decided that I think it's time for a serious upgrade to a new computer! i was told this forum is amasing at helping so here i am! Hi!

Anyway.. Here i go!
I don't really know anything about computer parts but I was told I could build a amazingly Good machine for not that pricey so here are my budget!
1000 is my budget Only thing is.. thats for parts only.. i can use my same mouse keyboard/screen if anyone could please tell me a amazingly good build for a computer Oh btw it's a gaming computer.. I'm a graphic designer/etc etc and I design games and all and play :p so.. i need a good gaming pc!what i have now is a 2.0 ghz intel with 512 ram.. a ATI 9200 graphic card and like 37 gig harddrive.. i seriously need a upgrade! from my computer im using now! please help!

Hi Andrew2489 and welcome to PC Mech. It seems this is a great community and an invaluable source of interesting and trustworthy information.

First thing: are you in the US or the UK...1000 means two rather different things depending on where you are :p

The other thing to keep in mind is that building a computer yourself may not mean it is cheaper than something you can buy pre-built but it is certainly the way to go if you are looking at a high spec machine with potential for future upgrades :)

ALSO: What software are you using for 3D Design work?

A good place to look for components would be at www.newegg.com it seems to be the retailer of choice for most people using this site!

I am from the UK so your currency is a little alien to me :o
