Just a quick question: I'm putting together a new rig and came across an Intel mobo D925XCV. I'm wondering if my Intel Pentium D 945 processor will work in it? I know that motherboard is a couple years old but I couldn't pass up on the price ($35.00). It supports PCIe and up to 4 gigs of ram. Anyone have any info?

According to the Intel list, only 5xx and 6xx Pentium 4s are supported: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/cv/cv_proc.htm

Thanks for the link Alaron, I'll just keep that board around incase a buddy needs it. I was considering the ASUS P5LD2 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 945P. Anyone have any thoughts on this one?
The P5LD2 is a solid board. The latest version will even support a Core 2 Duo upgrade.

I upgraded my wife's computer with the P5LD2-VM (on-board video version) and a 631 Cedar Mill CPU this past summer. Been running nice and stable ever since...no problems with the motherboard at all.

Glc and cricket, thanks for the information. I think that's the board I'll get and when my budget allows, I can upgrade my processor to the Core2.

Go ahead and do the C2D. The price difference isn't much. Get an E6300.
Sounds like he already HAS a processor, Chuck.
