What is the best hard drive for gaming that is 300gb to 500gb? Right now I'm thinking of getting the Hitachi Deskstar 7K500

The Seagate 10 series are about the fastest drives right now from what I've read.

If I decide to get two of them, do you think I should make them one drive (partitioning), or keep them separate, and use one for storage (like music, and documents), one for windows and applications?

I would stay away from hitachi's, they have a bad reputation. As tworails said the seagate .10 are currently the fastest for 7200rpm drives. If you want to get anymore juice you'll have to spend big $$ for raptors.

Gotcha, thanks, I think i'll get the seagate 7200.10 320GB hard drive, If I ever need more space, I'll just add another one.
