Just wondering how peoples system temperatures (under load) compare.
I just ran mine for 30mins with StressPrime and heres what I get:

This is using the stock AMD heatsink with a Sharkoon Silent Eagle fan.
Would be cool to see similar screens from you guys :)

Be sure to include ambients (your room temp) otherwise your temperatures are worthless...

I don't have any way of telling what the room temperature is :(
I guess somewhere between 20C and 25C...it's neither hot nor cold in here at the moment.

hehe...how do you check core temperatures?
Should I use that Core Beta app you were using?
EDIT: I tried the Core Temp, but I dont have a Core Duo, I have a Centrino. What should I do?

In the summer I'll go 45 - 50C. In the winter game play will be 40 - 45. I don't normally run a temp program, but I started it up and I'm at 34C with light usage and the room is about 67-70F

You could also try downloading Everest Home Edition to monitor temps.

Use the temp utility off the mother board CD... if your board has the ITE chipset use smart gaurdian.... if it has the chipset for Harware doctor use that... and so on...
On my rig...
Idle...
cpu 25-26c
PWM IC 28c
chipset 26c
encoding....
cpu 28-32c
PWM IC 32c
chipset 34c
Prime load....
Cpu 47c
PWM IC 47c
chipset 47c
these are with the case that I just posted in the show your case innards thread.....
room temps are 70f...currently running at 280x10 at 1.39vcore...

Mine hits on the average 42 degrees C and peaks at 49 degrees C here in the Philippines. It doesn't worry me though. My case is an Enlight model and I use a stock cooler by Cooler Master.
In my experience, I had builds that cruise around 53 degrees C and this was primarily due to the type of casing I used which had no side vents.

I have no idea what my CPU or system temps are...I don't worry about 'em. If the computer is running like it should then I feel there is no reason to check the temps.
Room temps this time of year are probably around 80 to 85 F.

About only time I check temps is on a very hot day (90°F + for me) and I'm gaming, or I worked inside and added something (new CPU, HD, etc). Heck, sometimes I can't remember where it is to start it up!

you could use speed fan
http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
or for my laptop with a centrino i use the notebook hardware control for power management, it gives you the temps all the time

Actually, I was thinking of trying SpeedFan, but not for it's temp goodies but because it's suppose to be pretty good at monitoring your HDs' SMART data.

I know that on AMD's web site, I found that they have some Maximum Designed Temps on the CPU's and at least on the older ones such as the XP's which I believe run hotter than the AMD 64's, their maximum temps for the design ranged from 85 C to 95C but they said that you should be operating at below 65 C.

i just open speed fan every once in a while to check things, out i dont usually leave it running cause i could care less at my temps, as long as my pc is working fine thats all i need. but yes the smart data that speedfan gives you is excellent. here is a screen shot of the smart data for ya:

The AMD 64's are indeed required to run cooler than the older chips.
I'm aware that the chip I have, the X2 4400+ has two versions. An 89Watt version and a 110Watt version.
One has a max temp of 65C and the other is 70C.
I don't know which I have though and don't know how to find out. If it is the 65C version then I am worried that I sometimes get very close to that temp.

you can check the vcore rating.... the lower vcore is the lower wattage...

That's the upper operating limit. I haven't seen either giving a "recommended" temp. In therory, you should be able to run up to the max without problems (I'd never do it, of course).

Mine CPU stays between 40 and 47 C. Haven't seen it go above 49 c yet and the motherboard temps are usually 2 degrees lower than the cpu. The threshold for the CPU is 72 C but I haven't gone anywhere near that. Room temp is around 70 degrees F.
