I have new built, used hard disk sata 160GB, with previously other PC with three partition, My plan was install OS in one of these partitions, but unfortunately new PC ask to format all disk and make partition again, Please tell what was wrong hear?
boot to your windows cd, which im guessing is XP, then delete the current system partition on that 160gb sata drive, and recreate the system partition which will be used to install the operating system on. after creating the partition format it with ntfs, and windows will take care of the rest and install the OS onto that partition, after you complete the os install, you can right click my computer and choose manage, then go to disk management and you should still see the other two partitions, which should have a drive letter, if not, then right click on each partition and choose change drive letter or path, and give it a drive letter. now it should show up in my computer.

Identify which of the two partitions you want to keep then simply reinstall the OS on the desired partition.
As long as you don't choose to delete the two data partitions they will remain intact.
You will need SP1 or SP2 on your XP CD to see all 160gb on that drive. If the drive already has XP on it and you have a CD with SP1 or SP2, try a repair reinstall.

Thanx ! I think I got this problem because of XP CD has no Service Pack, but I have SP2 file seperate download from microsoft site, Is there any way to use that?
You need to "slipstream" it and build a new CD.
