Hope im in the right place so sorry if im not.My new mobo tells me its Sata3Gb/s compatable so can anyone tell me what sort of Sata hard drive I should be looking to buy for this set up :confused:

Any SATA 3.0Gb/s hard drive will do. Older SATA 150 hard drives will work too.

Ok Thanks thats settled my problem over what drive to get ,Many Thanks
So far, there are absolutely no compatibility issues with mixing generations of sata. Obviously, to get the full performance and features of sata II/3Gbs, you need a both a drive and a motherboard that support it, but if either of those is the older sata 150, your system will just run at that speed but nothing bad will happen.
