After I use my drive it will not recognize any other disc untill I reboot. In My Computer it shows the last disc I had in the drive and I can't access any other disc untill I reboot.

Compaq Presario SR1910NX
AMD Sempron 1800MHz
512 Ram
Optical Drives
ATAPI DVD DC 16x8x5
TSST corp CDW/DVD TS-H492C
XP Home SP2

Thanks for any help

When you eject the disk, use software eject, not the button on the drive. Right click on the drive icon in My Computer, choose Eject.

that and it didn't work. I did a little more playing around and found that this is only happening after I use 123 copy dvd software. I can see the disc change within the program but not in My Computer. I guess I'll contact them and see what the deal is.
Thanks,Rich

The same thing is happening without running the program. I also tried to change the settings in drive properties and everytime I reboot they go back to the settings I tried to change.

I'd pull out the read me for Drive Copy 123 and see what settings it affects and I'd go to the web site and check for known issues and/or updates.

I am sure either glc or pam123 would have suggested this by now if it were the solution, but I had a similar problem. The solution to my problem was to UNINSTALL the DVD drive AND the CONTROLLERS using my OS's utility, Device Manager. I use XP Media Center on my laptop.

Good suggestion but you chek the alternatives first!
