Printer Frozen

My HP 832 printer stopped and a message came on the screen that the cartridge carrier was unable to move. I have tried to move the carrier and something is stopping it. I can't see behind the cartridge carrier to see what is stopping it but it is definitely hung up.

If it's not a paper jam, it may be time for a new printer.

This is usually a problem with the service station. Look into it and remove any chunks of ink that build up. Third party inks leak often causing this trouble.

Never mind. I forced the cartridge to move and the cable that pulls it from side to side broke. I will see if I can fix it. Printer is not that old. I got it in 2000.

6 years is a good long life for a low end inkjet. It doesn't owe you anything.
